A Glimpse into Ohio’s Country Music Scene

If you plan to be in or near Ohio this summer, you won’t want to miss out on the talent-packed country music events being hosted across the state.

2024 was a successful year for the country music industry, with the release of countless new albums and singles from established industry professionals and many new artists gaining recognition. This year will surely bring even more excitement and growth to the industry, with cross-genre collaborations, artist tours, festivals, and new music already being announced.

Fortunately for Ohioans, there are numerous opportunities to experience unforgettable live performances this year, with the return of country music festivals - The Country Fest, Buckeye Country Superfest, and Country Concert - and individual artist tours stopping in various cities.

Each year, in the small town of North Lawrence, country music lovers come together at Clay’s Resort Jellystone Park with their family and friends to enjoy a day, or multiple days, of extraordinary country music sets. This year, from June 11-14, Warren Zeiders, Bailey Zimmerman, Dierks Bently, and Hardy will be headlining the four-day festival with additional well-known and emerging artists also taking the stage.

On Saturday, June 21, thousands of fans will file into the Ohio Stadium to experience memorable performances from Conner Smith, Dasha, Treaty Oak Revival, Megan Moroney, and two highly admired artists—Jelly Roll and Kane Brown —who just released a collaboration this month.

What started as a small event in 1981, has transformed into an annual, four-day music festival featuring more than 35 musical sets across four stages. This year, from July 9-12, Country Concert will be hosting Brad Paisley, Parker McCollum, and Blake Shelton as the festival headliners. Additionally, fans can watch performances by other country music stars and Ohio-rooted artists.

While these festivals provide the opportunity to watch one great artist after another, they are just a portion of the incredible country music scene taking place in Ohio in 2025. Check your local event venues, bars, and fairgrounds for more artist shows.
